Englewood Hospital and Medical Center in Englewood, New Jersey is in the process of completing a major addition to the well-known medical facility. Within this addition is a new non-denominational chapel for people of all faiths to visit. The chapel’s main focus is an attractive stained glass window which was designed by renowned artist, Ellen Miret and fabricated here at the J & R Lamb Studios.

Ellen worked in the studio with Studio Foreman Gregor Lorkowski. She picked out all the specific sections of glass to be cut from the mouth blown glasses that she had special ordered from Germany. Gregor executed the project, cutting all glass as indicated and then glazing the six panels that make up the 70” x 84” window. Additional lead profiles were obtained for the project, as the window contains lead caming in widths that range from 3/16” to 1 ¼”. The panels were installed into a light box in the chapel which is illuminated with LED lighting.
