Temple Beth Abraham, Tarrytown, NY.
We enjoyed another successful collaboration with internationally recognized artist, Ellen Miret. The Tree of Life is an art glass piece that Ellen designed and created for the arc doors at Temple Beth Abraham in Tarrytown, New York.
The doors are ½” laminated safety glass, fabricated from ¼” float glass in the front and a textured glass on the back. The first stage of the design was wheel engraved with a CNC machine on the front of the glass.
Ellen’s design was sandblasted onto the backside of the glass by “master blaster” Jon Erickson at his studio in Georgia, and then crated and shipped to Lamb Studios. We met Ellen at the temple with the finished pieces and installed them. The installation turned out great and the temple news bulletin referred to the piece as “spectacular”!
